The body of a jet-boater who went missing on the West Coast last month has been recovered.
A police statement said the body of Christchurch man Daniel McLellan-Skeggs, 29, was located by a fisherman on a beach at Kakapotahi, about 9:30am Wednesday.
"His family would again like to thank all volunteers and members of the public that assisted with the extensive search in the days following the incident."
McCLellan-Skeggs was swept away after the jet boat he was in crashed on the Taramakau River on May 17. Another man was able to be rescued by a helicopter.
