The community is rallying to support a family of four involved in a horror crash in Marlborough on Saturday, which critically injured a Christchurch father and his 7-year-old-daughter.

The single-vehicle crash occurred on State Highway 6 at Okaramio about 12:35pm on Saturday.

Ste Byrne and his daughter Gracie were both critically injured in the crash. On Sunday, it was understood they were both in ICU in critical but stable conditions - Ste in Wellington Hospital and Gracie in Auckland's Starship Hospital.

Mum Dianne and son Evan remain in Blenheim Hospital.

A Givealittle page to support the temporarily-split family, created by neighbour Andy Milne, had raised nearly $1500 as of Monday morning.

"They're all a long way from home, and from each other," the page says.

"They have some family with them currently, and other family and friends are hoping to be with them as soon as possible.

"Please give generously so we can support them the way they've always supported us."

Many donors left messages of support, one describing the Byrne's as a "giving family".

"Sending you healing, strength and love," another wrote. "Your family are in my thoughts."

The Serious Crash Unit investigation is continuing.
