Wellington residents will be able to make some pocket money this weekend by bringing their plastic bottles in for a refund.
The scheme is organised by campaign group The Kiwi Bottle Drive and sponsored by Wellington City Council. It will offer 10c and 20c refunds for plastic bottles and cans.

"We're aiming to collect and recycle more than 20,000 beverage containers on Saturday," said organiser Holly Dove on Friday.
The event will run from Aro Valley community centre between 11am and 2pm.
"We're wanting to demonstrate how awesome it would be if New Zealand had a bottle refund scheme," said Dove.
"It's a system countries like Australia and Canada have introduced - and it's working."
Last year Dove delivered a petition to Parliament which called for the introduction of a bottle refund scheme.
Mayor Justin Lester said Wellington council is in full support of bottle deposits.
"Bottle deposits are the next logical step for New Zealand to take in terms of waste minimisation and moving towards a zero waste economy," he said on Friday
