A person has died following a shooting at a Rotorua property.
Police confirmed that just before 8pm on Wednesday evening, emergency services went to a Mangakakahi, Rotorua property after reports of a shooting.
One person had died at the scene.
A person sought in relation to the incident was located at a nearby address and was taken into custody. No one else is being sought.
Scene guards were put into place at the property and police want to thank residents for their cooperation.
