Worker hospitalised after being hit by glass pane in Auckland

Two workers have sustained injuries after being hit by a glass pane in Auckland.

Police told Newshub the workers were unloading the glass pane off a truck when it reportedly blew into them.

The incident took place on a worksite on Khyber Pass Rd at 3:20pm.

One worker was taken to hospital, while another received treatment by an ambulance.

The injuries were described by police as moderate to minor.

Three St John ambulances were sent to the scene and one lane has been cordoned off for emergency services.

Worksafe NZ has been notified.
