A man has been charged with murder following the death of a toddler in Auckland last month.
Sixteen-month-old Malcolm Robert Bell was rushed to Auckland's Starship Hospital on June 23, after suffering serious head injuries. He died in hospital on June 29.
The 51-year-old accused of killing him will appear in Auckland District Court on Thursday.
"Today's arrest is the result of countless hours of work by a team of investigators who have investigated this child's tragic death," police said in a statement.
