Guests at a West Auckland motel have been evacuated as dozens of police officers searched for a man wanted for breaching his bail.
Police say they found a couple of suspicious items at the Lincoln Court Motel while arresting the man and cordoned off the area as a precaution.
The Explosive Ordinance Disposal Team has cleared the area and the Police say they will remove the cordons shortly.
Motel guest, Tony Boyd, said he and several other guests were evacuated.
"There are two police vans, a police vehicle and probably a dozen officers on site," he told NZME.
