Police investigating Christchurch aggravated robbery

An appeal has been made by police for witnesses to come forward after an aggravated robbery in Christchurch.

On Monday morning about 7:35am, a man entered a store on Kidbrooke St in the suburb of Bromley with a firearm.

The culprit assaulted the dairy owner, who was taken to hospital but is said to be stable.

Police did not specify what was taken in the robbery.

The offender was wearing black pants, a black hoodie, white sneakers and a camouflage balaclava, a police statement said.
