Four people have been killed in a serious crash in the Kaingaroa Forest, in Bay of Plenty.
Emergency services were called to the two-car crash at the intersection of Bonisch and Parapara road just before seven o'clock.
Three ambulances are at the scene and a helicopter has been dispacted, according to St John.
A remote section of road will be closed to traffic while police investigate.
