A teacher has been arrested and charged amid claims of sexual allegations in Marlborough.
A letter to parents and caregivers sent in May confirmed an investigation was taking place.
Education Minister Chris Hipkins said at the time he was also aware of serious allegations at the school.
Police said in a statement on Thursday a 37-year-old woman had been arrested and charged, as part of the ongoing investigation.
The statement said she would appear in the Blenheim District Court on Monday, charged with sexual connection with a young person under 16, and intentionally exposing a young person to indecent material.
"As the matter is now before the courts, no further details will be released."
