Two people are in hospital after the vehicle they were in crashed through a fence and into a bakery in Otara on Sunday morning.
The accident happened on East Tamaki Rd about 6:30am.
No one was in the bakery at the time of the accident.
The injured pair are at Middlemore Hospital in serious condition.
Further south, a person has died after crashing their car into a powerpole in Dunsandel, Canterbury.
The accident happened about 9:20pm on Saturday night on Brookside Rd. Police are investigating.
