Police are searching for a mother and her three-year-old child who went missing on Wednesday night.
A statement from police says 27-year-old Hazel Phillips went missing from Mount Maunganui on Wednesday night and it is believed her three-year-old daughter, Lexi, is with her.
The mother was last seen driving a white 1999 Toyota Corolla with the registration YN4180. She was wearing a purple jumper and purple pyjama pants.
Police and Hazel's family have concerns for her welfare and ask anyone who has seen her or her car to ring police on 111.
