A person has serious injuries after a horror construction accident in Auckland.
The victim was injured at the CBD site in Albert St on Monday afternoon. Several ambulances, the high-angle rescue unit and "heavy lifting" equipment are at the scene.
Fire and Emergency say they are helping "extricate" someone from a construction site. A witness reports a patient was lifted into an ambulance just before 4pm.
A shopkeeper down the road told Newshub she spoke to a construction worker, who told her something fell on a man who was working.
The site, formerly the home of NZME, is being turned into a hotel.
