Fire and Emergency is responding to reports of smoke in the cockpit of an aircraft at Auckland Airport.
Five units attended the scene, a spokesperson confirmed to Newshub.
The Air NZ plane was parked at the domestic terminal, bound for Napier on Sunday afternoon.
Passengers were returned to the terminal.
The aircraft has been taken to a hangar for further investigation.
Air NZ told Newshub passengers will be rebooked on other services.
