Services across the Auckland train network were delayed and cancelled on Friday after a track fault at Britomart.
Auckland Transport (AT) tweeted on Friday afternoon that "maintainers" were onsite attempting to resolve the issue. Roughly 15 minutes later it provided an update saying the fault had been fixed.
However, delays should still be expected as the services return to schedule.
The initial news from AT about the delays angered some on Twitter.
"Absolutely disgusting," wrote one user. "Again! Ugh," said another.
