A Wellington teen has exhibited true Kiwi ingenuity by coming up with an innovative way to transport his friend's bags along the city's waterfront.
The 16-year-old, who wants to be known as Josh, and his group of friends were on their way to Festival for the Future at TSB Arena when they realised they had too many bags to carry.
"We had to move our bags from the YHA [hostel] to a festival that was happening," he told Newshub.
"We decided the fastest way to do that was with a supermarket trolley."

The distance from YHA Wellington to the arena is 1.1 km, about a 15-minute walk, according to Google Maps.
The group didn't just want to push the trolley along Wellington Waterfront and decided they would try to hook it up to an electric scooter.
Josh said the group had to try a few things before they could successfully attach the trolley to the scooter.
"We tried a few different techniques... We found that having the scooter tucked under the front bar and sitting on the front worked best," he says.
"When you wanted to slow down you could actually push the scooter away and the bar would push the back brake."

Josh's friend, Rewa Henderson, filmed and shared a video of Josh riding along the waterfront to the public Vic Deals Facebook group.
The video was met with high praise from locals, with some saying they wanted to try out the trick for themselves.
"This is how we need to do the weekly shop," one person wrote.
"This man is living in the future," a user commented.
Josh says the group returned the shopping trolley to its supermarket after their adventure.
