A four-year-old child has died after being struck by a forklift in Canterbury.
Police say the incident took place at a residential property on Robinsons Road in Prebbleton.
Police were notified of the incident at around 1:50pm on Monday. St John and Fire and Emergency were also present.
The child received medical attention but died at the scene.
Police say Worksafe NZ has been advised.
