Police held a media briefing at 5pm on the horror bus crash near Rotorua earlier on Wednesday.
More than 20 people are believed to have been on board when the bus crashed on Wednesday morning in bad conditions, leaving the bus on its side.
Police have confirmed fatalities, and it is reported as many as six could be dead. Another six victims have been transported to hospital.
