An Auckland man has been assaulted and his car stolen after meeting up with a woman he connected with on a dating app.
Police say the 31-year-old man met a woman via a dating app and was seeing her for the second time in Onehunga around 10pm on Monday when he was as attacked by two men.
The pair ambushed him while he was sitting in his car with the woman, assaulting him before stealing his vehicle when he fled. The woman he was meeting with left with the offenders.
