The body of a six-year-old boy has been recovered by a police dive squad in Havelock, Marlborough.
The child was reported missing around 6:30am on Tuesday.
The boy's body was found shortly after the dive squad arrived on the scene around 1:45pm, police said.
Next of kin have been advised and the matter has been referred to the Coroner.
