A boy racer event in Porirua ended in chaos after a man was assaulted with a crowbar.
The event was held at Raiha Street on Sunday night with hundreds of attendees.
Police told Newshub it's believed gang members were in attendance.

"One person reported being assaulted and having his Skyline car stolen. It's believed a crowbar may have been used in the assault," said a police spokesperson.
The victim has a moderate head injury.
"There was a suggestion the victim had swallowed some glass, appears possibly due to a window being smashed."
Police are investigating.
