James Harrison, his wife and their 12 children fled Gloriavale in March 2015, with just the clothes on their backs, some blankets, a sewing machine and some farm clothes.

Since leaving the community, the couple has had three more children - the youngest now five months old - and the family has a newfound sense of freedom.
Harrison spoke to The AM Show about why he left the reclusive religious sect, where his parents still live.
