A 46-year-old man has been charged with murder following a shooting in Foxton on Monday.
The man, who was arrested earlier on Tuesday, will appear in Palmerston North District Court on Wednesday.
An examination of the scene is currently underway and is expected to continue overnight.
"As the matter is now before the court, no further comment can be made at this time," says Detective Senior Sergeant Craig Sheridan.
Police confirmed the 47-year-old man injured in the shooting died in hospital on Tuesday.
