A pedestrian has critical injuries after being hit by a truck in Waikato.
The incident occurred at around 8:30pm on Wednesday.
The person was hit on Mangatawhiri Road, Mangatawhiri, police said.
The road is currently blocked, with diversions in place on Bell Rd and Mangatangi Road.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
