The race for a seat on Queenstown council is so close there's no option left but a coin toss to decide the winner.
Glyn Lewers and AJ Mason are neck-and-neck for the sixth seat on the Queenstown-Wakatipu Ward with 2183 votes each.
It follows a recount of the votes instigated by Lewers.
After losing by just one vote, Lewers requested a recount on 24 October.

It transpired one vote for Mason had been incorrectly recorded, leaving the pair in a dead tie.
Judge Mark Callaghan decided on Wednesday morning the winner shall be decided by a coin toss.
"Glyn Lewwers will have heads, AJ Mason will have tails. A NZ$2 coin will be used," reads the ruling.
The fateful coin flip will take place at 3pm on Wednesday.
