One person has been critically injured in an accident involving a Lime scooter.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Bedford St and Parnell Rise in Auckland on Thursday night after a person is understood to have fallen from an electric scooter after colliding with a wall.
Police cordoned off part of the footpath for a short time while the injured person was taken to Auckland Hospital in a critical condition.
Blood could be seen near the scene.
It's not the first time a Lime scooter rider has been seriously injured in Auckland. In September, 23-year-old Toben Hunt died after coming off the scooter near Westhaven Marina. Inquiries found there was no mechanical issue with the scooter.
