Police find 'dangerous' man wanted over Invercargill homicide

The 31-year-old man wanted by police over the homicide of a 22-year-old woman in Invercargill has been found.

Police were called to a North Road, Waikiwi address around 11:00am on Sunday after receiving a "report of concern". When officers arrived they found the woman dead.

She has been identified as new mother Azalia Wilson, Stuff reports.

Police say they have found the man wanted in relation to the incident, who they described as "dangerous" on Monday.

"The man is assisting police with their enquiries," a police spokesperson says.

"At this stage, no charges have been laid."
