A vehicle has rolled down a bank after a police pursuit in south Auckland on Saturday.

Police say the stolen vehicle was spotted after reportedly being used in an aggravated burglary in Auckland City.

The driver was signalled to stop around 10:35am - but when it failed police launched a pursuit, which was abandoned shortly after due to the manner of driving.

"The vehicle was then spiked on Druces Road, however it continued to Manurewa where it collided with multiple vehicles on Jutland Road," a police spokesperson told Newshub.

"It subsequently lost control on State Highway 20 and rolled down a bank."

Police say one person has been taken into custody.

There are no reports of any injuries.
