Police officers have swarmed on Auckland's Mission Bay on Friday afternoon.
The large police presence follows reports of a fight breaking out in the wealthy suburb.
Video footage sent to Newshub shows police breaking up a large crowd.
A police dog handler could also be seen at the scene. Traffic is backed up on Tamaki Drive from Mission Bay to Orakei Marina.
In a statement, police said reports of a fight involving a large number of teenagers came in about 3:30pm.
The crowd has since dispersed but a number of people were spoken to.
Police confirmed eight people were arrested in relation to the incident.
It is understood no one has been seriously injured.
