Aucklanders may have to change their travel routes with a number of motorway on ramps closing across the city on Wednesday night.
There will also be stop/go traffic management on some motorways causing delays.
The NZTA is warning motorists to be prepared and plan ahead due to the roadworks.
"Due to road works in the area stop/go traffic management and speed restrictions will be in place at night. Expect delays," the NZTA says.
Most roadworks will end on Thursday morning, however the NZTA says overnight motorway closures are subject to weather and other factors, and may be cancelled or postponed at late notice.

- SH1 Northcote Rd off-ramp southbound - 11:25am-5am
- SH1 Northcote Rd on-ramp northbound - 11:27am-5am
- SH16 Royal Rd on-ramp southbound - 9pm-5am
- SH1 Wellsford - 7pm-5am
- SH20 Neilson St on-ramp southbound -11:41am-5am
- SH20 Full closure Lambie Dr to SH1 southbound - 10pm-5am
- SH1 Redoubt Rd on-ramp southbound - 9pm-5am
- SH1 Full closure Manukau to Takanini southbound - 10pm-5am
- SH1 Papakura on-ramp (Diamond) northbound - 11:32am-5am
- SH1 Papakura on-ramp (Loop) northbound -11:33-5am
- SH1 Full closure Papakura to Takanini northbound - 10pm-5am
- SH16 Full closure Lincoln Rd to Brigham Creek roundabout northbound - 10pm-5am
- SH16 Newton Rd on-ramp northbound - 9pm-5am
- SH16 Lincoln Rd on-ramp northbound - 9pm-5am
- SH20 Cavendish Dr onramp northbound - 9pm-5am
- SH20 Full closure Cavendish Dr to Massey Rd northbound - 11:15am-5:00am
- SH1 Upper Harbour Hwy offramp northbound - 11:23am-5am
