An Auckland car meet has ended in a major crash, leaving one in critical condition.
A vehicle sped off from the Clevedon gathering last night and police followed it.
But they say no pursuit was initiated.
The car was found crashed at the intersection of Monument Rd and Tourist Rd a short time later, around midnight.
One person was airlifted to Middlemore Hospital, while two others had minor injuries.
