One stabbed, two injured in Hamilton 'disorder' incident

Three people have been injured, one seriously, following what police call a "disorder incident" in Hamilton on Christmas Day.

Police were called to a report of an altercation between a group of people on Ulster Street at around 2:10am.

"One person sustained serious stab wounds and was taken to Waikato Hospital. Two other people sustained minor injuries," a police spokesperson says.

"Police are making enquiries into this incident and a scene guard has been in place while scene examinations are undertaken."
