Watch: What happens to your body when you donate it to science

The University of Auckland's medical sciences learning centre is one of many places where students can examine specimens, and learn about anatomy and pathology.

Its design dates back to a couple of thousands of years ago when the public, as well as doctors, would view autopsies standing in a round amphitheatre.

Professor Morris Curtis spoke to Newshub about the learning centre, and shed light on why people donate their bodies to science.
