Two people have been seriously injured after becoming trapped under a makeshift grandstand in Wellington.
Police were called at 11:44am to Newtown Park on Mansfield St after the structure blew over in the wind.
Wellington Free Ambulance says the two people are now in Wellington Hospital.
The ages and sexes of the injured are not yet known.
