Police have launched a homicide investigation after a woman found critically injured at an address in Christchurch on Tuesday morning died of her injuries.
Emergency services were called to Orchard Rd shortly before 6:50am, police said. There they found the woman, who died a short time later.
A man found at the scene is in custody, and assisting police with their enquiries.
Police say they're not looking for anyone else in relation to the woman's death.
