A body had been found in the search for a missing climber at Mt Earnslaw in Otago.
The body was located near Earnslaw Hut at about 8:20pm on Saturday, police said.
Rescuers were sent to Mt Earnslaw, north of Glenorchy, on Saturday after a climber was thought to have fallen from a track.
A medical helicopter was sent to the area just after 4pm, but police believe the fall happened earlier in the afternoon.
