A pedestrian has been taken to hospital in a serious condition after being hit by a bus in central Auckland.
The incident took place at 9:20am on Tuesday morning at the Wellesley Street and Hobson Street intersection.
Police and emergency services are at the scene and part of the road has been cordoned off.
The serious crash unit is in attendance and a scene examination is taking place. Motorists are advised to expect delays and avoid the area if possible.
It's the second time in two days an Auckland bus has been involved in a pedestrian accident.
On Monday, a parked sightseeing bus rolled backwards and struck pedestrians in central Auckland.
Multiple investigations are underway into Monday's incident.
