Two people have been confirmed dead in a shooting at a home near Castlepoint, Wairarapa.
Police were called to the incident just after 5am on Monday.
Police say the two deceased were known to each other and they are not looking for anyone else.
The deaths are being treated as suspicious.
Police say they will likely remain at the scene for a number of days while they investigate what happened.
