Weather: Scorching temperatures, high humidity forecast for much of New Zealand

The warm weather isn't going anywhere yet, with scorching temperatures set to heat up parts of New Zealand.

NIWA meteorologist Ben Noll told The AM Show the eastern areas of both islands are forecast to see searing temperatures up to the mid-30s until Monday.

Humidity is also going to be a factor, and the upper North Island is expected to bear the brunt of it.
