For decades, the island of Puketutu in Auckland's Manukau Harbour was quarried until there was barely anything left.
Watercare then stepped in and have been gradually rebuilding the original hills out of human waste.
One man who's found himself knee-deep in this subject matter is Watercare Resource Recovery Manager Rob Tinholt and he spoke to The AM Show.
