A person has died following a serious crash near Papamoa Beach earlier this week.
On Wednesday, emergency services rushed to the scene of a serious crash on the Tauranga Eastern Link Rd. It involved two vehicles at 7:01am.
While police initially reported that an individual had moderate injuries, a statement on Saturday confirmed one person had since died in hospital.
An investigation into the circumstances of the crash is ongoing.
