A resident in the Auckland suburb of Grey Lynn has been hospitalised in a severe condition after a home invasion on Sunday morning.
Police confirmed they received a report from a witness who saw someone breaking into their neighbour's property on Cockburn St.
According to police, the burglar, who fled on foot, was located nearby.
They have taken one person into custody for questioning, police spokesperson Yogesh Ambalaghan told Newshub.
Police are unable to confirm the nature or extent of the injuries at this stage.
