Auckland man stabbed after being confronted by group of men

A man was stabbed in south Auckland overnight after being confronted by a group of men.

Police say that around 1am on Friday, the individual was approached by a group of men at an address on Fyfe Ave in Auckland's Papatoetoe. During the confrontation, he suffered a stab wound.

He's now in a stable condition in Middlemore Hospital.

An investigation is underway into the circumstances of the incident.
