Is working from home realistic during coronavirus outbreak?

New Zealand businesses are taking steps to have their employees work from home due to the coronavirus outbreak, but there are concerns workers may get too distracted.

Digital marketing account strategist Danielle Gillatt told the Project on Friday she would be fine with working from home, but it would be weird not working with other people around.

"I'd definitely manage working from home but definitely not ideal…more distractions at home it's nicer to be in the office environment with like-minded people.

"If you're in a busy office you've always got someone to talk to, someone to have a coffee with, but when you're home alone it's going to change."

She gave tips to The Project on how to stay away from the distractions when working from home.
