As it happened: Jacinda Ardern speaks on coronavirus, Jeanette Fitzsimons' death

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern spoke to media in Christchurch on Friday regarding New Zealand's coronavirus response as well as the death of former Greens co-leader Jeanette Fitzsimons.

There are currently four confirmed cases of the illness in New Zealand, with one probable case. Newshub revealed on Friday that one person with coronavirus works at New Zealand Steel.

Meanwhile, it also emerged on Friday morning that Fitzsimons, who stepped down as co-leader in 2010, had died on Thursday evening after a fall and a stroke.
