As it happened: Ministry of Health gives an update on COVID-19 cases in New Zealand

Ministry of Health Director-General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield is due to give an update on the COVID-19 coronavirus.

So far New Zealand has eight confirmed cases of the virus.

On Tuesday the Government announced a $12.1 billion economic support package in response to the coronavirus. It covers wage and sick leave subsidies, aviation support, a boost for the health sector and some tax relief changes.
