Ministry of Health reveals new coronavirus cases in New Zealand

The Ministry of Health and Civil Defence are giving their latest updates on the national response to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

New Zealand's Director-General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield will provide the number of new and probable cases of COVID-19 in the country. On Thursday, he announced 78 new cases, taking Aotearoa's total to 283. Twenty-seven people have recovered from the virus. 

Sarah Stuart-Black, Director of Civil Defence Emergency Management, will also speak, likely about the nationwide lockdown.
