Early morning commuters in Auckland will have to find alternatives on Tuesday as more than 100 buses are cancelled.

Some drivers employed by NZ Bus will strike between 4am and 8am at the Glenfield and Swanson depots.

"This will result in the cancellation of 139 buses that would depart before 7:30am," said Auckland Transport on Monday afternoon.

No school buses will be affected by the strike.

A full list of the services impacted can be found here.

Similar strikes are expected to take place on Wednesday and Thursday, reports NZME.

Around 800 drivers will vote over the coming days on whether to take further strike action over a pay dispute with NZ Bus.

NZ Bus has offered an extra 68 cents to drivers to bump wages to $22.75 but the Tramways Union and First Union are seeking $23 per hour.

Drivers also want changes to 14-hour shifts broken up by several hours of unpaid leave.
