Police are investigating after two people were found dead in Kelston, in Auckland on Monday morning.
Detective Inspector John Sutton said police responded to a "sudden death incident" at around 9:30am but wouldn't comment on any specifics.
"The deaths are being treated as unexplained at the very early stage of our enquiries," he said.
Post-mortems examinations will be carried out as well as a scene examination of the property.
More information would be provided when it became available, Det Insp Sutton said.
