A man has been arrested after barricading himself inside a building in the Auckland suburb of Flat Bush on Wednesday.
Armed police were called to the incident shortly after 1pm on Wednesday after reports of the man "acting in a disorderly manner" on Jeffs Road.
After making threats to the public, police say he barricaded himself inside an address where he made threats to police and refused to come out.
Police say he's now been arrested.
"A man has been taken into custody a short time ago and the incident has been resolved," a police spokesperson says.
"Cordons on Jeffs Road are expected to be lifted and we thank the public for their patience."
